Presents a One Day Workshop on 'Emotion Regulation Treatment'
Date: Friday 12th February 2010, 9.30 to 4.30
Location: Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London, nr Holborn tube station
Description:
Clients who cannot tolerate or down-regulate a painful emotion will often manage their feelings
through behaviours such as drug or alcohol use, binge eating, anorexia, self-harm or suicide attempts.
In recent years there has been research into how these dysfunctional coping strategies can be reduced
by coaching alternative functional behaviour. Two experienced clinicians from the NHS share techniques
and experiences that help clients who have difficulty regulating their emotional responses.
