It is suggested that most people take around three hours to explore the whole of the length of the Gardens. (It is about one mile across and takes about 40 minutes to walk across.) We usually stay the whole day and still never see everything. If you have time, spend the whole day at Kew.

Kew Gardens and Forest Hills are generally thought of as safe neighborhoods, but no area is 100% safe . If I were you, I would search for an apartment very close to the train station so that you don’t have to walk far after you’ve arrived at your destination. These nabes are considered some of the safest in the city.
Kew Gardens Highlights In May, the Kew Gardens spring to life (literally) and the blooming of bluebells are especially popular among visitors; but it’s during the summer months when the Kew Gardens are perhaps at their most beautiful.
Bright, sunny, late winter an excellent time to visit Kew Gardens . daughter and I spent several hours exploring, taking in many of the sights despite many of the attractions being closed. We especially enjoyed the Sackler Crossing and lake-ice on the water and lots of birds made for stunning photos!
These are lovely gardens to spend a few hours. There is a lovely cafe / restaurant in the Orangery & take time to visit Kew Palace, run by a different group but part of the gardens history & very interesting.
Entry to the Gardens is advance booking only. You will need to pre- book your time slot.
Wakehurst is owned by the National Trust but managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens , Kew . Entry is free to National Trust members on presentation of a valid membership card however car parking charges apply as a vital contribution to RBG Kew’s plant science, conservation and horticultural work at Wakehurst.
