While the majority of our playgrounds and outdoor gyms are now open , there is one location which remain closed: Kingston Gate Playground in Richmond Park .
Richmond Park is open to vehicles from 7:00 am in the summer and 7:30 am in the winter. Vehicle gates close at dusk all year round. Pedestrian gates are open 24 hours except during the deer cull in November and February. During these months, pedestrian gates open at 7:30 am and close at 8:00 pm.
Richmond Park is fully open to cyclists once again, five months after restrictions were put in place. Cycling in the popular west London green space has been limited since March, when park management banned people from riding through the park due to concerns about coronavirus.

Richmond Park in west London has been at the centre of a debate in recent weeks as cyclists have been banned from the park because of the coronavirus pandemic. In March, Royal Parks announced that Richmond Park would be closed to cyclists because riders were not adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Vehicle access to car parks and park roads Please note that the current Movement Strategy trial has changed the way you can access the park by car, and the road between Richmond Gate and Roehampton Gate is not open to public vehicles at weekends. Car parks in Bushy Park are now open all week. The Pheasantry car park can only be accessed from the north side of the park via Chestnut Avenue. The Diana Fountain car park can only be accessed from the south side of the park via Chestnut Avenue. The car parks will be open during normal park opening hours.
